Leading business solutions provider for New Zealand and Australia, Fusion5, has been awarded Microsoft Gold accreditation for Security. This is Microsoft’s highest security accolade, and is awarded only to partners who demonstrate deep technical and managerial competency in protecting the mission-critical systems that lie at the heart of clients’ most important business processes. In awarding Gold accreditation for Security, Microsoft validates Fusion5’s in-house skills and experience in designing, implementing and managing the sophisticated security solutions needed to guard against the numerous kinds of cyber security threats.

While Fusion5 has been delivering cyber security solutions for a number of years, the solutions provider has recently made a significant investment to bolster its security practice and offerings across Microsoft 365, Dynamics 365, Azure, Oracle NetSuite, JD Edwards and Jemini, Fusion5’s own HR and Payroll solution.

According to Kris Jackson, General Manager of Managed Services at Fusion5, data security threats and regulatory compliance requirements are more complex and challenging than ever:

“The security threats our clients face are continuing to evolve daily. The level of digital transformation seen across all sectors means that our customers’ most critical platforms face evolving risks against their most important systems for communication, ERP, CRM, HR and e-commerce. This has led us to invest in a dedicated cyber security practice. In addition, it further strengthens the one-stop-shop Fusion5 offers for complete end-to-end business systems.”

From the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, there has been a massive acceleration of hybrid and remote working. In practical terms, this means millions of people are now accessing ERP and CRM systems from home as well as from co-working spaces and coffee shops. Cyber-criminals have taken advantage of this massive digital shift, focusing their efforts on organisations and platforms where weaknesses are apparent.

“Cyber-criminals are indiscriminate in their intent to infiltrate company systems, steal data or unleash ransomware demands. These types of attacks could happen to companies large or small, irrelevant of their industry. Our Microsoft Gold competency for Security demonstrates our unrivalled knowledge and experience in keeping our clients’ businesses safe online. Ultimately, it’s giving our clients the confidence to innovate and deploy new systems and experiences to keep them one step ahead in their respective industries,” said Kris.

While this award focuses specifically on competencies around Microsoft products, Fusion5 takes the same approach to security when deploying, designing, and supporting all of their solutions.
