23 August 2017 - Fusion5 customer, Queensland University of Technology (QUT), beat a quality field of finalists to be announced winner of the Enterprise Service Management (ESM) Implementation of the Year at the itSMFA's 20th National Conference in Sydney, Australia. The prestigious ITSM Industry Awards acknowledge excellence in IT service management improvement programs in a number of team and individual categories.
The ESM Implementation of the Year is awarded to the organisation that during the past year has designed and implemented a comprehensive set of new business services based on the ITIL lifecycle methodology. These services need to have delivered significant business benefits.
QUT supports 47,000 students and more than 4,500 staff across three campuses in and around Brisbane. Their IT team worked closely with Fusion5 over the last year to implement Ivanti Service Management.
itSMFA assessed the implementation against a range of criteria including QUT’s success in achieving their business objectives and producing measurable results, the complexity of the project, and the innovative approaches taken to reach their goals. QUT’s use of processes and procedures to assess the business requirements, design and implement the solution and effect its transition into productive use were also evaluated, as was the extent to which their Ivanti Enterprise Service Management solution aligned with ITIL lifecycle methodologies, related standards and best practices. QUT’s IT team was also assessed for its contribution to the success of the project.

QUT have worked with Fusion5 to roll out a range of Ivanti solutions since 2013.
Ivanti Enterprise Service Management has provided QUT with a scalable and configurable platform which allows their IT department to easily onboard and automate the services and offerings of other departments. QUT also utilise the Ivanti Voice Solution to automate password resets making the Service Desk more productive.
